The Martinelli and the rolling: an over 40-year-old family tradition

In 1964, after a long career as an employee, Giacomo Martinelli decides to take up an entrepreneurial career. With his wife’s, Marisa Faroni, help, he opens a shop in his house garage in Sarezzo: it is a small workshop equipped with a drilling machine, a turning machine and a rolling machine, the bare essentials to finish the processing of parts for bicycles and motorcycles.

The Martinellis’ perseverance and quality of their production made the company be appraised by a greater and greater number of Val-Trompia firms. Consequently, in 1972 Giacomo Martinelli moved to new premises, covering a 200-m area, equipped with modern automatic machines and later, in 1981, the company size and number of machines had grown so much that the firm moved to the present seat.

In 1987 the son Alberto came to form part of the company, joining his father’s entrepreneurial culture and bringing the company into modernity by means of new technologically updated machines with after-processing control and an efficient quality control system at machining processes.
